I love Mack’s ear plugs. I live with a really cute snoring girl and have used Mack’s to help me sleep – but NOT THESE. I’m not putting these specific ear plugs down. Notice i gave them 4 stars. Ive seen some reviews here that claim they didn’t work, or whatever but you have to consider what activity you’re using these for. I use 3 types of Mack’s earplugs for 3 types of activities.
PINK: I use these when playing the drums, or when I practice/play shows with my band (check us out [...] – we’re called Bad Habit & The Corruptions). They filter out just enough sound to where I don’t end up having a raging case of tinnitus at the end of the session, but I can still hear talking, and detailed sound. These work great for these types of activities like concerts, playing the drums, sports events, et cetera.
TURQUOISE: I use these when I go to the gun range. Again, these filter enough sound (and more than the pink ones) but also allow me to carry on a conversation at the range. I have also used these for sleeping, but they work great for the range.
BEIGE: I use the beige ear plugs when sleeping. The cute snorer I referred to (my lovely wife) sometimes requires me to use these and they filter the perfect amount of sound – that is to say nearly all of it. I can sleep without hearing the snoring, and yet still hear my alarm when it goes off in the morning.
With all of this said: DO NOT BUY THEM FROM AMAZON. Amazon instituted this RIDICULOUS ‘add on item’ garbage recently and did not allow me to purchase these plugs. I am a PRIME member and from what I remember about supply and demand – if you have something a customer wants, and that customer has given you EXTRA money to get faster shipping – YOU SHOULD SELL IT TO THEM. But oh no, Amazon wants me to spend an EXTRA $25 – in addition to the $10 it costs for this item – in order for me to even be allowed to PURCHASE IT. So I would have had to spend a minimum of $35 before I could get my earplugs. Well, I ended up spending $16 when I went to Walgreens.com and ordered them from there.
