Boules Quies Protection Auditive Earplugs, Made in France

Boules Quies are great for blocking out the sounds that can wake you up at night. Rattling air conditioners, prancing housemates, or loud neighbors living above you, these earplugs will help bring the noise levels down and get you a better sleep.

They will also help quiet the sounds of a loud sleeping partner, though not all snoring may be masked.

But they probably won’t be powerful enough to filter out high-decibel urban and suburban sounds, such as a car alarm, police siren, or a power lawnmower.

They are easy to insert–much easier for me than the foam ones, and once inside they are very malleable, since they are made of wax. This is nice because then I can wear them fairly loosely at night when there’s no noise, and in the morning, after the squawk of the first Blue Jay, tighten them up and go back to sleep.

I also carry a pack of these when I’m traveling by air. They will eliminate most of the engine hum, and can transform a symphony of screaming babies into light background noise. (When the flight attendant comes by with your drink order, you can pull out one of the plugs half-way, or use your lip-reading skills).

Radians 25 Pair Disposable Uncorded Foam Earplugs

By Garrett A. Curtis "rasqueado"

These are great. I bought a set of similar looking, same color, etc from Walmart but they weren’t nearly as good as these. In most cases they are adequate, but if you are shooting at a local indoor range, I would recommend wearing a set of over the head muffs too. You never know when someone is going to blast some 357's or .500 cal’s next to you. But for 22 and 9mm, they are very good. They roll well and then fit well in your ears without collapsing sideways while you try to stick them in. Nice product.

Howard Leight MAX-30 Corded Foam Earplugs Box, 100 Pair

I am an aircraft mechanic and you have not heard noise until you have been around a jet engine running at take off power or bucking rivets. During the work day it can be very noisy or quiet when depending on the job you are doing. I like the cords because you can use the same plugs all day and not lose them.

At home when I mow the lawn, work using the air compressor, or any other noisy activity I protect my ears. The only advantage of losing your hearing is if you have a nagging wife, icon wink Howard Leight MAX 30 Corded Foam Earplugs Box, 100 Pair but even that is not good.

It can be challenging to install the ear plugs because you have to roll them as small as possible and insert them before they expand, but with practice you become proficient and once you hearing is gone you can never get it back.

Same brand that I use at work, so purchasing them was an easy choice.

SparkPlugs Disposable Foam Earplugs, Earplugs of Nascar, Uncorded

Hubby snores. I have insomnia. Bad combo.

I have tried many, many brands of ear plugs over the years. Some are comfortable for an hour or two, then it feels like someone has wedged a broom handle into each ear canal.

When I discovered the “Spark Plugs,” I could hardly believe how wonderful they are. I can sleep all night with them. Bliss!

The swirly color is the tip-off that these are the comfortable ones. They are very soft. Each pair lasts about a week with nightly use. It’s time to change them when the absorbed moisture makes it difficult to roll them down real skinny to fit deep inside the ear canal. There should be only a little bit sticking out to allow removal.

Take extra care to keep your ears clean if you use these for extended periods as do I.

V-MODA Faders VIP Tuned Metal Earplugs (Gunmetal Black)

I would (and do) where these just about anywhere. I have an ear problem that might end up costing me most of the hearing in my right ear, so I want to protect my ears whenever possible. These Faders are amazing for that purpose.

Sound: The only earplugs I’ve ever had that are both re-usable and clear-sounding. These don’t turn every sound into a muddy growl like those foam pellets many people stick in their ear canals. Sounds are as they should be, only much quieter. If anything, I enjoy live music’s audio quality more because of these. The distortion from being too loud for your ears to handle is restricted, and so it sounds better. Great for concerts and such.

Style: Also pretty great. Looks like a well-made set of earbuds, only more durable since there’s little to nothing to break. They come with a case good-looking enough that I wore it as a necklace type thing when I wasn’t using it for a while, but the case hinge broke. That’s really my biggest gripe, the case being something I didn’t expect to get, then got one with the earplugs, liked it, and it broke.

Durability: Unparalleled. As long as we’re not talking about the case. These have gone through the washer, been dropped 6 feet onto concrete, and all sorts of other things and still look great. I would be careful around mud, as that seems like it would be a bit harder to get off without a lot of work.

All in all a great product. Does what it’s supposed to well, comfortably and for a long time.

The best ear plugs available. Comfortable and effective. The same type I used in the Air Force. I highly recommend to anyone in a noisy environment.

Other foam ear plugs don’t work as well for me and often irritate my ears. These expand more slowly, allowing adequate time to get them into my ear canals before they become too big to fit. They are also softer, so they don’t put as much pressure on my ear canals.

I bought these to hopefully help me sleep better-what a difference a good night sleep is!!!!! These are comfortable, durable, great price and will buy again when needed. I like the fact that a set comes in their own pack, and you can reuse them and they still maintain their shape. Great Product.

I have ultra sensitive hearing and survived college dorms and noisy hotel rooms thanks to Mack’s silicon ear plugs (the semi-transparent type). They are effective- much better than the foam type, reusable- I go through one pair in about 1 month, and reasonably priced. Now I have come across Mack’s Snoozers, and they are even softer. They also don’t seem to collect dust as easily. The label says you can only use it up to 5 times, but I find if you wash them with warm soap water when they are dirty (for me who use it every night means about 10 days), they become usable again.

I am very glad Amazon carries this item. The package was nicely sealed and shipment arrived timely and in good condition.

LOVE THEM. They somehow manage to block out most annoying noises (neighbors, loud trucks outside, etc) yet still allow me to hear my alarm in the morning. Effective and also gentle on the ears (I find certain kinds of earplugs to be quite painful.)
The only downside: they start losing their stickiness and begin falling out of my ears after only 2 or 3 nights so I have to purchase them more frequently than I’d like. But this is a minor issue. The important thing is, I am a light sleeper and still manage to get enough rest thanks to these!

~L

I live in a campus apartment so nosy neighbors are always big problems. This products generally works. It fits my terribly small ears and reduces noise level a lot. But don’t expect be in a totally quiet world with such a silicone earplugs.

Basically, users can still hear noise after putting on these earplugs but should be able to sleep anyway.

But since they are so massive and not meant to go in your ear canal, they leave my whole inner ear area sweaty in the morning (yuck!). I wear them to block snoring noise, and they do a great job of that. They can be reused for a few nights, but after that they stop creating the seal they need to make to be effective, and thus fall out. I wish they could make these a bit smaller.

For the most part, these allow me to sleep through my husband’s snoring, unless he’s sick, then nothing blocks him.

My cat snores so loudly that she sometimes wakes me up. These things keep that from happening. I do not recommend that you wear them if you’re defusing a bomb and someone is telling you how to do it. Hey, man — you’ll want to hear what that guy has to say.

Excellent, worked to dampen noise in a truck, and they stick in your ear all night. Recommend them for anyone traveling or sleeping with snorer.

I was staying in hostels and loud hotels in Europe so i bought these for my trip, they blocked out the noise, and my husband’s snoring. but they are sticky. I have long hair so the hair would stick to the ear plugs and i’d have to slowly seperate it in the morning. but the pain was worth the quietness. they stayed in my ears the whole night. just a note, my plugs were clear/cloudy and didn’t look like the picture. The plugs were also reusable, i could’ve pulled off 5 days in a row if i needed to.

Lived up to the good reviews. Used them nightly in a noisy stateroom on a 2 week cruise. Awesome. I could hear my husbands snoring a little, but not as much as with other earplugs. My doctor said these are good because the ones that go inside the ear push wax into the ear canal, and I already have too much of that. Highly recommend and you can squeeze a few more uses out of them than stated.

Mack’s Ear Care Dreamgirl Soft Foam Earplugs, 50 Count

I love Mack’s ear plugs. I live with a really cute snoring girl and have used Mack’s to help me sleep – but NOT THESE. I’m not putting these specific ear plugs down. Notice i gave them 4 stars. Ive seen some reviews here that claim they didn’t work, or whatever but you have to consider what activity you’re using these for. I use 3 types of Mack’s earplugs for 3 types of activities.

PINK: I use these when playing the drums, or when I practice/play shows with my band (check us out [...] – we’re called Bad Habit & The Corruptions). They filter out just enough sound to where I don’t end up having a raging case of tinnitus at the end of the session, but I can still hear talking, and detailed sound. These work great for these types of activities like concerts, playing the drums, sports events, et cetera.

TURQUOISE: I use these when I go to the gun range. Again, these filter enough sound (and more than the pink ones) but also allow me to carry on a conversation at the range. I have also used these for sleeping, but they work great for the range.

BEIGE: I use the beige ear plugs when sleeping. The cute snorer I referred to (my lovely wife) sometimes requires me to use these and they filter the perfect amount of sound – that is to say nearly all of it. I can sleep without hearing the snoring, and yet still hear my alarm when it goes off in the morning.

With all of this said: DO NOT BUY THEM FROM AMAZON. Amazon instituted this RIDICULOUS ‘add on item’ garbage recently and did not allow me to purchase these plugs. I am a PRIME member and from what I remember about supply and demand – if you have something a customer wants, and that customer has given you EXTRA money to get faster shipping – YOU SHOULD SELL IT TO THEM. But oh no, Amazon wants me to spend an EXTRA $25 – in addition to the $10 it costs for this item – in order for me to even be allowed to PURCHASE IT. So I would have had to spend a minimum of $35 before I could get my earplugs. Well, I ended up spending $16 when I went to Walgreens.com and ordered them from there.

A quaint town overtaken by a new order. Antique dealers selling off the living room. Relationships that fizzle. Ensconced biddies with their Eau du Auld fighting the newest mayor, Ms. Service Industry. Who will win? And will Lisa, the young woman jogger with the Band-aid and the pink bandana ever return? In this novel a quest for earplugs tries its best to defy old age, young love, and the burden of change.
Paperback: 165 pages Publisher: Livingston Press (AL) (November 20, 2012) Language: English ISBN-10: 1604891041 ISBN-13: 978-1604891041 Product Dimensions: 0.5 x 5.9 x 8.8 inches Shipping Weight: 10.4 ounces

Often humorous and frequently savage commentary about a small town in the grip of progress. This, while in some sense true, hardly begins to describe the book, written from the point of view of a young man, unhappy with the changes and trying to escape the destruction of a small town environment and a way of life. The unusual writing style, reminding one of the writers of the 60's, is a delight. A great first book. I look forward to more from this author.
